At P.A.T. Paws and Tails Sanctuary, we believe every dog deserves a loving home. By adopting, you’re giving a rescued dog a second chance at happiness while making space for us to save more animals in need.
Our Adoption Process
1. View Available Dogs
Browse our website or visit our Facebook group to see our dogs available for adoption. Each dog has a unique story, personality, and needs.
2. Submit an Adoption Application
If you find a dog you’d like to adopt, fill out our Adoption Application Form [link to form]. This helps us understand your lifestyle, experience with pets, and what kind of dog would be the best match for you.
3. Application Review & Follow-Up
Once we receive your application, our team will review it and contact you for a chat. We may ask additional questions to ensure a perfect fit for both you and the dog.
4. Home Check (If Applicable)
In some cases, we may request a virtual or in-person home check to ensure a safe environment for the dog.
5. Meet the Dog (Virtual or In-Person)
If your application is approved, we will arrange a virtual or in-person meeting with the dog. If you’re adopting from another country, we’ll provide videos and updates to help you get to know your future pet.
6. Adoption Fee & Paperwork
To help cover veterinary care, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and transportation (if needed), we ask for an adoption donation. The amount varies depending on location and transport costs. Once everything is settled, you’ll sign an adoption contract.
7. Travel Arrangements (For International Adoptions)
If adopting from abroad, we will arrange safe transport through trusted pet relocation services. We’ll guide you through the process, including necessary paperwork and travel details.
8. Welcome Home!
Once your new furry friend arrives, we’ll be here to support you. We encourage adopters to keep in touch and share updates. Our goal is to ensure a happy, lifelong match.
